Alisha Wainwright is the lead of the Michael B. Jordan/MACRO produced popular Netflix series “Raising Dion.” Season 2 of the sci-fi drama premiered on February 1st, 2022.
La serie, based on the popular comic book of the same name, follows Alisha’s character, ‘Nicole Reese,’ a single mother raising her son Dion who has magical, superhero-like abilities.
Wainwright starred in Fisher Steven’s critically acclaimed film PALMER on Apple TV. Alisha previously starred as the strong-willed, rule-breaking, bartending werewolf ‘Maia Roberts’ on the worldwide hit show “Shadowhunters.”
The drama amassed a loyal following of fans over three seasons and has won several Teen Choice Awards as well as the People’s Choice Awards for Best Show and Best Bingeworthy Show.
Before becoming an actress, she was in Panama working on a PHD in Botany. She is currently doing work with the downtown Women’s Center and raising money for Haiti.
