SERGEANT WAYNE GUILLORY (Pictured above)
Sergeant II Wayne K. Guillary, is currently the Assistant Watch commander for Northeast Area in the LAPD. He has been with the department almost 33 years and has sued the department for racial discrimination in the past. Sgt. Guillory continues to support the LAPD believing working from within the system to help bring about the changes needed are necessary to ensure the future of the next generation African-American officers.

In 1997 the Cochran Firm under the late Johnnie Cochran reached a settlement with the City of Los Angeles in the killing of off duty police officer Kevin Gaines by undercover police detective Frank Lyga. The City of Los Angeles paid the Gaines family $250,000.
CARL MCGILL
Carl McGill served 16 years with the Los Angeles Police Department leaving the department 2001 and having worked under police chiefs Darryl Gates, Willie Williams, and Bernard Parks. During his tenure he founded the African-American Peace Office Association. He is currently is the founding president of the Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles County and the Black Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles County.
BERNARD PARCHI
Bernard Parks is the councilmember for the 8th council district. He served as chief of the Los Angeles Police Department from August 1997 to May 2002.
