Lauretta Stevens (Left), grew up in Berkeley, CA Activist since age 14.
One of the lead organizers anti-apartheid work in Oakland with the African Liberation Support Committee in the 70’s; yearly African Liberation Day Events.
Experience in Tenant organizing in housing projects: Oakland and most recent Jordan Downs in Watts. She has participated in college activism at Cal State Hayward and worked with community organizations including United Against Black Genocide in the 80’s against police abuse in Los Angeles.
She has led “Have a Heart for Home care” campaign in Humboldt county, 2012.
Patricia Allen (Right), is a construction worker and member of the LA Black Workers Center.
The Los Angeles Black Worker Center is set to discuss their January 20th Rally and March to End Employment Discrimination.
They want the City to establish an Anti-Discrimination Complaint Resolution Process that supports civil rights protections, to ensure workers aren’t sidelined lined because of discrimination. Join them to send a unified message.
