   I was shocked when Kevin Ross didn’t answer Dominique’s question about what a local radio host (I know she meant “Larry Elder”) commented that the problem with arresting Zimmerman was the Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law. The “Stand Your Ground” law has been in effect in Florida since 2005. This case shows the burden that police and prosecutors have experienced since the law was first signed. The law eliminated a citizen’s requirement to retreat in the face of danger, and has put judges in a tough position, as they are forced to decide if the accused is immune to prosecution, even when deadly force is used. If Zimmerman went to trial right now the jurors would release him.

   Judge Kevin Ross knows that Florida law is a travesty. This law stifles the hate crime committed. This really pisses me off. That law needs to be removed. Where is the outrage over that? More babies will be killed because of it.

   I also didn’t appreciate Dominique allowing the caller known as “V-Jack” get away with calling Elder an “Uncle Tom” What kind of double standard is that? She always correct people when they don’t refer our President as President Barack Obama, but she allow black people to talk bad about other black people. You either stand for something or fall for anything.

   My prayers go out to the Martin family for their loss. Godspeed.
