A former press secretary in the House of Representatives and the California State Legislature, Jasmyne Cannick is a Los Angeles based public affairs specialist.
Having worked at all three levels of government, Jasmyne currently develops, executes, and oversees the communications strategies for candidates running for local and State office and issue based campaigns.
Outside of politics, Ms. Cannick is a nationally syndicated journalist with a background in radio news production.
She has won numerous awards for her work on the intersection of pop culture, race, class, and politics, including being selected as one of ESSENCE Magazine’s 25 Women Shaping the World.
As a political and pop culture critic and commentator, she’s a frequent guest on CNN, FOX News, BET, Access Hollywood.
