Dr.. David Horne is a tenured full professor of Critical Thinking and African History, and is the former chair of the Pan African Studies Department at Cal State University Northridge. He also teaches graduate public policy and introductory political analysis, and is the graduate advisor for the department. He is the original Executive Director of the California African American Political Institute at CSU Northridge and the former Executive Director of the revised California African American Political and Economic Institute at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Actualmente, he is the Director of the Pan African Public Policy Institute housed in the department of Pan African Studies at Cal State Northridge, and is the Co-Founder and political consultant to the newly formed “Consejo de Black Organizaciones Políticas” (COBPO).

I had the pleasure of having Dr. Horne as my professor at Compton College during my time there from 1986 -1991. He was a very good influence in my life because I am also now a teacher. I’m glad to hear he’s doing well.

I’ve known Dr Horne for many years. He is a GrandMaster teacher in the class room, and teacher/activist/leader on the World stage for many many years. Whenever I read of someone complaints about how intellectuals only talk about issues. I point to Dr Horne’s work. Thank you Dr. Horne, your work has inspired a whole generation.
