Dawnn Lewis è meglio conosciuto per il suo ruolo da molto tempo su "Different World", Dawnn è un membro del cast regolare della serie TNT, "Major Crimes", dove si gioca "Patrice Perry" una molto più giovane afro-americana ragazza per il molto più vecchio e più saggio portare caucasico "Detective Louie Provenza", interpretato da GW Bailey.

Not only is Dawnn Lewis a Multi – BMI, NAACP & GRAMMY Award winning Actress/Singer, she is dedicated and committed to philanthropy work. Her production company, Morning Jewel, Inc. is producing a huge entertainment experience, Concert for a Cause, where her celebrity friends will come together to donate their time and talent to local Los Angeles charities: The Los Angeles Urban League, The K.I.S. Foundation (Sickle Cell) and EmpowHer Institute on Sunday Dec. 13th at the Saban Theatre.

In addition to her current television series, she has several animated projects out in theatres/DVD such as Inside Out and Big Hero where she is the voice of several characters plus filming 2 major feature films and developing a speaking/scholarship tour for 2016 featuring the cast of A DIFFERENT WORLD.
