Dawnn Lewis is best known for her longtime role on “Different World”, Dawnn is a regular cast member on the TNT hit series, “Major Crimes” where she plays “Patrice Perry” a much younger African American girlfriend to the much older and wiser Caucasian lead “Detective Louie Provenza” played by G.W Bailey.

Not only is Dawnn Lewis a Multi – BMI, NAACP & GRAMMY Award winning Actress/Singer, she is dedicated and committed to philanthropy work. Her production company, Morning Jewel, Inc. is producing a huge entertainment experience, Concert for a Cause, where her celebrity friends will come together to donate their time and talent to local Los Angeles charities: The Los Angeles Urban League, The K.I.S. Foundation (Sickle Cell) and EmpowHer Institute on Sunday Dec. 13th at the Saban Theatre.

In addition to her current television series, she has several animated projects out in theatres/DVD such as Inside Out and Big Hero where she is the voice of several characters plus filming 2 major feature films and developing a speaking/scholarship tour for 2016 featuring the cast of A DIFFERENT WORLD.
