Yesterday, 纽瓦克, New Jersey Mayor Cory Booker (ð) attacked the Obama campaign for making an issue of Mitt Romney’s tenure at Bain Capital during an appearance on 媒体见面. While the progressive leader later backed off the criticisms, Republicans have been quick to highlight his comments as an attack against the idea that scrutiny of Mitt Romney’s record as a businessman is fair game.
A ThinkProgress examination of New Jersey campaign finance records for Booker’s first run for Mayor — back in 2002 — suggests a possible reason for his unease with attacks on Bain Capital and venture capital. They were among his earliest and most generous backers.
Contributions to his 2002 campaign from venture capitalists, investors, and big Wall Street bankers brought him more than $115,000 for his 2002 运动. Among those contributing to his campaign were John Connaughton ($2,000), Steve Pagliuca ($2,200), Jonathan Lavine ($1,000) — all of Bain Capital. While the forms are not totally clear, it appears the campaign raised less than $800,000 总, making this a significant percentage.
He and his slate also jointly raised funds for the “Booker Team for Newark” joint committee. They received more than $450,000 为 2002 campaign from the sector — including a pair of $15,400 contributions from Bain Capital Managing Directors Joshua Bekenstein and Mark
Nunnelly. It appears that for the initial campaign and runoff, the slate raised less than $4 million — again making this a sizable chunk.
In all — just in his first Mayoral run — Booker’s committees received more than $565,000 from the people he was defending. 至少 $36,000 of that came from folks at Romney’s old firm.

If you think this is bad…expect even worst if Romney gets elected. Go out and vote. Don’t be swayed.
The position of the president is not solely to maximize profits and to protect the interests of big business, it means reaching out to and protecting the rights of the average ordinary citizen, 每个人.
President Obama is the best one for the job.

We have to quit being fooled and blindsided..
While I will concede that Obama may be the better choice in the upcoming election , it still remains a choice of the lesser of two ills. Obama did come into office under arguably the most dire of curcumstances(即. bush’s war debt) but Obama has failed like most if not all politicians to keep significant campigan promises. 奥巴马 “ability” to raise emormous sums of money truly doesn’t stem solely from those of us who voted for him but from those who are CLEARLY enjoying fianacial security(即. big business, big oil, 银行, auto industry)..
It’s the same game played the same way and guess who gets left holding the empty bag??

As for Booker..
I caught his appearence on MTP and it is like I said.. The same game played the same way. In the bigger picture he is a lesser chess piece on the board. He is a destraction designed to get our minds off of what’s really goin on. While all of this is playing out we the american people have been blinded of severly dulled to the fact that we have all but COMPLETELY signed our true freedom away. This whole 911 era is nothing more than a ruse. I encourage you to do some research on exactly how unfree we are today. One example is that now you can be arrested and held INDEFINITELY with NO phone call. Another example is that now police can seige your cellphone and go through it with NO COURT ORDER.
It gets deeper. George Bush indeed kicked things off during his 8yrs in office but it is Obama who is keeping this sinister course of action going. Look at all the traffic cameras in the city of Compton now.. They are NOT the ticket giving kind trust me..
