Robert C. Farrell
Farrell was born in Natchez, Mississipi, sur Octobre 1, 1936, and moved with his family to La Nouvelle-Orléans et Newark, New Jersey, before settling in Los Angeles, where he attended Los Angeles High School, graduating in 1954. He enlisted in the Navy and in 1956 was promoted to midshipman. After his service, he received a Navy scholarship to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Near Eastern Studies at UCLA dans 1961.

The Watts Labor Community Action Committee (WLCAC) has been working with people in Watts to improve the quality of life since 1965. We hold the hands of people in need by providing a place to sleep, food to eat, money to earn and love to grow. Over the last 45 ans, we have grown to hold more than 30,000 hands per year through the tireless commitment of dedicated staff and volunteers.

  1. WOW!!! This is the man, Robert Farrell, that was my earliest mentor when I was just a young lad. Bob helped me to see value in my life and in my future. Bob not only talked with me, but modeled success for me; he modeled working hard; et, he modeled compassion. At an early age I looked up to him and thought I wanted to be that sort of man; the way he communicated and cared. Ces jours, whenever I see Bob I remind him of my Love for him. I hope that I turned out the way he made me feel that he expected. Thank you Bob. I Love you.
