Hundreds Attended KJLH-FM Town Hall Meeting Regarding Racial Profiling, Black Men, and Next Steps

Los Angeles, Calif –  Los Angeles radio station KJLH-FM, the leading broadcast radio station for African-Americans and urban consumers in Southern California, hosted a town hall meeting entitled “Black Men Standing Our Ground: Justice for Trayvon Martin” on Saturday, March 31, 2012 in Inglewood, Calif. at Faithful Central Bible Church.

The town hall meeting discussed what has and has not changed in the 20 years since the 1992 uprising in Los Angeles as well as next steps for Los Angeles’ African-American community.

Speakers included: John Mack, vice-president of the Los Angeles Police Commission, Cochran Firm attorney Brian Dunn, the Advancement Project’s Constance L. Rice, Deputy District Attorney, Bobby Grace, Cedric L. Watkins, II, 1st vice-president, 100 Black Men of Los Angeles, Inc., and rapper and actress Yolanda “Yo-Yo” Whitaker.  KJLH’s Dominique DiPrima, host of the award-winning Front Page Show, Minister Tony Muhammad of the Nation of Islam, and Pastor Lewis Logan, co-founder of Ruach Christian Community Fellowship moderated the 3-hour discussion which was broadcast live on KJLH 102.3 FM.

THEN FOLLOW THE PERSON WHEN TOLD NOT TO THE WANT YOU TO BELIEVE A UNARMED TEENAGER BEAT ME UP WHEN I HAVE A FIREARM IN MY POSSESSION. DON’T FALL FOR THESE 1960’S TRICKS
