Ben Guillory ha studiato presso l'American Conservatory Theatre di San Francisco, e ha lavorato a lungo in teatro, cinema e la televisione per il passato 30 anni come attore e regista. Sig.. Guillory ha vinto Circle Award della Critica San Francisco, for his portrayal of Paul Robeson, nella produzione di Illustrated Stadio di, "Are You Now o sei mai stato". For his Los Angeles performances of Phillip Hayes Dean’s Paul Robeson, Sig.. Guillory won the DramaLogue Award and Special NAACP Theatre Award and for his directing efforts on For the Love of Freedom: Parte I, he was presented with an NAACP Theatre Award.
