Since arriving in Los Angeles in 1995, Brother Tony has been recognized for his many abilities. Some call him a knowledge-broker, a strong organizer, a wise businessman, a skillful bridge-builder and a compassionate guardian angel. While others say he is a brave leader and a spiritual guide.  He has opened lines of dialogue between the urban community and law enforcement agencies.  Approximately (15) years, Brother Tony has worked to broaden the community’s awareness of the universal mission of the Nation of Islam on the West Coast. He has been at the forefront of promoting “Peace In The Streets” among the warring gang factions and helped to organize Peace Summits at the local mosque in Los Angeles. In addition, he has met with over 140 street organizations to help stop the killing of so many innocent people caught up in the crossfire of gang rivalries.

As a believer of “Community Empowerment and Community Unity”, Brother Tony has worked tirelessly to bring harmony to the diverse political and religious elements of Los Angeles community life. He has cooperatively worked with grassroots organizations, businesses, and interfaith groups on a number of community concerns. For example, He has participated in door-to-door voter registration and voter education campaigns throughout various communities in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. For the last two years (2012-2014), he has organized the largest “Peace Rides” in the state of California, bringing together bikers, car clubs, low-riders and various gang intervention groups. The Rides travel throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas where communities are affected by increased violence.
