Tanya Young-Williams

Tanya R. Young Williams is a TV Personality, legal analyst, inspirational speaker, author and featured contributor to Huffington Post. She is a proud graduate of the Yeshiva University – Benjamin N. Cardozo School of law, where her concentration was Entertainment Law. Her undergraduate degree in Communications from St. John’s University, partnered with her legal knowledge and passion for on-air broadcasting has enabled her to become a highly-respected legal analyst.

Tanya has covered the biggest American trials of the past 10 years. She has been a legal analyst for KTLA in Los Angeles, while simultaneously, appearing on national cable outlets to offer her expert analysis. Additionally, being a family member of a high-profile defendant, while being intimately involved in every phase of the nationally televised trial – from jury selection through the verdict announcement, proved to be Tanya’s greatest Criminal Law learning experience.

Tanya is fondly known for her brief participation in VH-1’s hit show “Basketball Wives”. Her stance against violence on television prompted her decision to leave the series. Tanya has been featured in numerous magazines and online publications for her positive persona on Basketball Wives. She has been applauded for her ability to foster a national conversation regarding the depiction of women, especially women of color, on reality television programs.
