Sgt. Jim Parker born in Camden, NJ and raised in Philadelphia, PA with five sisters and one brother. He became a marine in 1982 then joined the LAPD in 1989 as a patrol officer serving in the West L.A, 77th street, Hollywood, and North Hollywood divisions. Sgt. Thank you for your service formost to our country and our great city, Los Angeles. It’s very unfortunate that you are going through this ordeal behind someone who obviously has a lack of respect for authority. I hope and pray that you will be able to stay on the force with the LAPD. Your patience as a veteran police officer should and can be modeled by the whole LAPD, starting with Cheif Beck. Always remember (WhoRah)!

I served as a tactics instructor as well as a peer mentor for untold numbers of LAPD personnel. I always taught tactics from two perspectives.;
1. To Stay Alive
2. To Keep One’s Job
If the alleged ethical violations (which I shall not mention here in a public forum), against him are sustained, he may very well lose his job. For Those of Us who are “Old-School United States (US) Armed Forces personnel, we call such a faux pas “BEADWINDOW.“
(As A Former US Marine, Parker should have known better …….)
