Lance Triggs

Lance Triggs is currently the Los Angeles Market CEO for Operation HOPE, the nation’s leading financial empowerment non-profit organization, Mr. Triggs has experience managing complex operations and projects, developing a national non-profit organization from the ground up, and leading large teams in major national and global initiatives.
Lance started his career in the field of entertainment, having danced for such artists as Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye and appearing on several national television shows including Soul Train for several years.  His professional life started in the travel industry because he wanted to see and experience the world.  After nearly a decade of success in national product sales (Pro-line Corporation Hair Care 1984 To 1986) and airline operations management (America West, 1987 To 1994), Lance Triggs began his career with Operation HOPE, created in the aftermath of the 1993 Riots in LA. He started first as a volunteer and then took on a leadership role at the invitation of the founder, John Hope Bryant.

Under Triggs’ leadership, HOPE has successfully modified and committed over $1 billion in loans to home owners in crisis, committed over $1.5 billion in investments and 1.6 million customer served in 71 under-served communities across the United States in the form of youth and adult financial literacy money, credit and foreclosure prevention management counseling, small business technical assistance, digital empowerment initiatives, mortgage and business lending capital to first time home buyers and entrepreneurs. Among his accomplishments, Mr. Triggs has managed several Global Financial Literacy Summits featuring such prominent national leaders as Federal Reserve Board Chairman Ben Bernanke, Gallup CEO Jim Clifton, Senior White House Advisor Valarie Jarrett and FDIC Chairwoman Sheila Bair, as well as delegations from over 40 countries from around the world.  He also had the distinguished opportunity to manage the development of the HOPE Financial Dignity Center (the Martin Luther King, Sr. Community Resource Complex), headquartered at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church on the King Center campus in Atlanta, Georgia.
